Founder’s Message
Welcome to the Digital Humanity Initiative Foundation (DHIF).
The Digital Humanity Initiative Foundation (DHIF) is a foundation that is led by women and which is a non-profit organisation dedicated to restoring dignity, creating opportunities and building up the futures of underserved girls, women, widows, young people and communities by means of education, ethical technology, research, leadership, Digital Green Empowerment, mental wellbeing and sustainable community development.
DHIF was founded on one simple but powerful belief:

We consider it essential that education, gender equality, ethical leadership, responsible use of technology, and inclusive community development should all contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our commitment is to make sure that underserved communities especially girls and women have equal access to a good education, digital skills, economic opportunities, leadership development, and the kind of support necessary for them to realise their full potential.
Our aim is to restore dignity, create opportunities, and build up the future by promoting education, ethical Artificial Intelligence, awareness of cybersecurity, Digital Green Empowerment, research, innovation, mental wellbeing, and strategic partnerships which strengthen individuals, families and communities.
We at DHIF hold the view that everyone has the potential, but that opportunities do not exist for all. Our aim is to overcome this discrepancy by developing practical and evidence based programmes which give people the knowledge, skills, confidence and opportunities they need if they are to succeed in a world that is becoming more and more digital and interconnected.
It is one of our top priorities to invest in girls and women since when they are given an education, become empowered and are provided with the opportunity to take leadership roles, the whole of their families and communities benefit. We are especially passionate about helping first daughters, only female children, widows and underserved rural communities, since investing in them leads to substantial social and economic change.
The work we do is focused on the community, based on research, and aimed at building partnerships. We work with governments, universities, civil society organisations, businesses, development partners, and local communities in order to design sustainable solutions which meet today’s challenges and at the same time equip people for the opportunities of tomorrow.
We realise that no organisation is able to bring about real and permanent change by itself; improving the lives and conditions of people and communities demands cooperation, a sense of shared responsibility, and the presence of individuals who believe that a better future can be achieved.
We would like to invite anyone, organisations, corporations, foundations, universities, governments, and international development partners to take part with us. If you do so by providing financial assistance, entering into strategic partnerships, offering technical expertise, volunteering, or promoting our cause, your contribution will help to create opportunities which will change people’s lives for many generations.
Together, we can educate girls, foster ethical leaders, empower women entrepreneurs, promote responsible Artificial Intelligence, strengthen digital inclusion, improve mental wellbeing, advance Digital Green Empowerment, and build resilient communities across Nigeria and beyond.
Our aim is that in the world every girl, woman, widow, and community which is currently being overlooked should have the opportunity, knowledge, confidence, and support so as to be able to flourish, take leadership roles, and help shape the future within an inclusive digital society.
By investing in one girl you are helping to strengthen one family. If you help to strengthen one family then you are transforming one community. When communities thrive, nations prosper. Which is the reason why each opportunity that we create at the present moment becomes a legacy for the future. This is more than an investment in a programme; it is an investment in human potential.
